Snowfall in Bath

The snow began to fall in the late afternoon of Thursday 31st January 2019. The following morning, February began with roughly 8 inches of fresh powder covering the beautiful Georgian city of Bath.

I grabbed my Canon 1DX Mark II and wrapped up my 70-200mm lens with a plastic cover and headed out into the blizzard-like conditions to capture people braving the winter chill to either get to work or to simply enjoy the snow.

The Canon 1DX Mark II is renowned for its leading autofocus. However, it was snowing so much that the autofocus struggled at times, despite dual-pixel AF!

The following morning, conditions were perfect for a quick flight with my DJI Mavic Pro drone - shot using an ND4 Polar Pro filter.

That’s all for now. Fingers crossed we get some more snow this winter!
